Norrgard, Mary I. Age 97. On 3/10/18 our beloved Mom, grandma, and great-grandma passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Rueben, and her husband, Ken. She is survived by her eight children and their spouses, 13 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends. She enjoyed her long life with grace and humor, finding joy in nature, gardening, and especially family gatherings and the presence of children. With grateful hearts our family thanks Dr. Ryan Harden and the staff at Gateway Family Health Center for their many years of caring for Mom. We also thank the staff at Elderwood of Hinckley for providing such a happy last home for her, and Ecumen Hospice for her peaceful final days. Her memorial service will be held at Grace Lutheran Church in Sandstone at 11 a.m. on 3/22/18 with visitation starting at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Mary's name to Grace Lutheran Church or the Audubon Center of the North Woods.
