Kilmer, Steven L. age 68, passed away on Saturday, February 17, 2018, in Lincoln, NE, following complica- tions from a recent surgery. Steve was born on September 6, 1949, in Mpls, MN, the son of Lawrence and Doris Kilmer. He was raised in St. Louis Park and resided in Edina, MN, until moving to Lincoln, NE in May 2017. Survived by his wife, Susan Kilmer of Lincoln, NE, son Chad Kilmer of Lake Forest, Il, & daughter Stephanie Raley (Tom) of Edina, MN, grandchildren, Jonathan and Daniel Kilmer, and Camden and Sydney Raley. Also survived by brother Bruce (Cathy) of Prescott Valley, AZ, and nieces, as well as former wife and good friend, Phyllis Kilmer of Edina, MN. Steve's career began as a bricklayer, and quickly rose to management and executive officer positions at several companies to include Jesco Inc., BOR-SON Construction, Bossardt Corporation and Wenck Construction. Steve was proud of his work and loved to show off his many buildings, schools and projects that he was a part of. He loved cars, especially his Corvettes. Most importantly, Steve loved the Lord, his family and all of the people in his life he was lucky to call friends. Steve was a 30-year member at Minneapolis Golf Club, his home away from home. A 32nd degree Freemason, he belonged to the Cataract Lodge #2 A.F. & A.M. and the Zuhrah BASC. Steve also belonged to the Minneapolis Valley of Scottish Rite. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, March 10, 2018, at 11 AM, at St. Lukes Lutheran Church, 1701 W Old Shakopee Rd, Bloomington, MN (Visitation starting at 10 AM with luncheon to follow). In honor of Steve, please wear your favorite golf attire or MN Vikings/NE Huskers apparel. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Autism Society of MN.
