Arthur C. Roemer

Roemer, Arthur C. Our dearly loved Art, aged 94, passed away peacefully on February 17, 2018. Art served his country and his state faithfully. He served his country during WWII in military government as Lieutenant, Quartermaster Corps USAR. He returned to complete law school and work in the Attorney General's office. He moved over to the State Department as Assistant Commissioner of Revenue and then Commissioner of Revenue. He ended his career as a Tax Court Judge at age 70. In addition to being a loving husband and father, Art was a fantastic storyteller who loved talking to people. Art took great interest in people and their lives. He had an insatiable curiosity and always asked great questions. You commonly found Art up on a ladder fixing things. Survived by his loving wife, Joan, of 52 years, son John (Tonia) Roemer, daughter Suzanne (Dan) Roemer Feely, son Dan; grandchildren Austin, Alissa, Brandon, Justin, Isabella, and Dominic Roemer and Beck, Vaugn and Capria Feely. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30AM Thursday, February 22, 2018 with visitation starting one hour prior at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 835 2nd Ave. NW, New Brighton. Interment Ft.
