Stockinger, Timothy J. age 68 of Apple Valley passed away on February 18, 2018 of cancer. Born January 28, 1950 to Eileen Fitzpatrick Stockinger and Leander Stockinger in St. Cloud Mn. Survived by wife of 46 years, Marcy Layer Stockinger, children, son Dr. Matthew (Teri) Stockinger, daughter Gretchen Stockinger Englebretson (Jason) son Andrew (Michelle) Stockinger. Also his grandchildren, Preston, Elena, Peyton, Ava, Evie, Jackie, Ashlyn, Caroline, and Blake, and Madi Englebretson. He is also survived by sister Mary (Tom) Cress, brothers Lance (Candie), Dan (Donna), Mark (Jan) and Ken, and his many Layer's in-law who loved him like a brother, nieces and nephews, cousins & friends. Tim worked at Air Freight Unlimited for 35 years before retiring in 2012. He enjoyed almost 30 years of lake home living at his cabin on Big Pine Lake near Aitkin, Mn. He loved classic cars, and knew almost every make, model & year of most cars on the road! He knew smoking was unhealthy and quit 31 years ago. He realized he was overweight and lost 60 pounds. He knew he was drinking to excess, stopped, and celebrated over 12 years of sobriety.
