Goebel, Marlys age 84, formerly of Cottage Grove, passed away peacefully on Feb. 3, 2018 surrounded by family. Loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt; survived by daughters Claudia and Kara, son Jon, grandchildren Bo, Bart, Cade, Braden, Brooke, and Charley, nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by husband of 58 years, Alvin; sisters Anna, Eleanor, Verna, brothers Matt and Gene; parents Anna & Michael Jenny. Long-time resident of Cottage Grove, originally relocating with husband Alvin from North Dakota in the 1950's to operate a successful crop and Thoroughbred horse farm. Marlys was a wonderful, kind, loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and will be deeply missed and remembered by all. Service Monday, February 12 at 11am, Kok Funeral Home, 7676 80th Street, Cottage Grove, with visitation one hour prior. Interment following at Cottage Grove cemetery.
