Anderson, Margaret (Maggie) Margaret Ann Anderson (Landsteiner, Hiatt) of Excelsior, MN passed away on January 19th. She was 89 years old. Margaret grew up in Fairmont, MN with her parents Joe and Edith Landsteiner, her brother Leo and sisters Alice, DeEtta, Joan, Grace and Lucille (TeeLee). She graduated from Fairmont High School in 1946 and married Lowell L. Hiatt in 1947. They had one daughter, Patty of Guthrie, OK. He preceded her in death. Margaret married Fred A. Anderson in 1953. They had 3 children: daughters Jeri of St. Louis Park, MN and Lori of Maple Grove, MN; and son Drew of Anoka, MN. Fred also preceded her in death. Maggie was a resident of Excelsior for nearly 60 years, and worked for the Minnetonka School District as a Cook Manager until her retirement. She is survived by her 4 children, 3 grandchildren: Ryan Shaughnessy and wife Heather of Mosinee, WI; Kevin Shaughnessy and wife Nicole of Seattle, WA; and Katy Shufelt of Dolgville, NY, and 2 great-grandsons; Brennan and Aidan Shaughnessy, her sister Lucille and many nieces and nephews. Margaret had a great sense of humor. She loved her house, the flowers in her garden and feeding the birds and squirrels in the yard. She loved her children, grandchildren and the greats! She was dearly loved and will be terribly missed. Per Margaret's wishes, no services are planned.
