Helen Marie 'Holly' Andries

Andries, Helen "Holly" Marie Age 78, of Rochester passed away peacefully at St. Mary's Hospital on Jan. 3, 2018. She was born Helen Marie Belsaas to Engvald and Helen Belsaas on October 31, 1939 in Dawson, MN and was raised in Minneapolis. She married James A. Andries and they had three children. A mother, housewife, and business woman, Holly assisted in the national training of employees on computer systems at Super Valu, and also served as President and Business Manager at Stremel Manufacturing, which she co-owned. Through the years she was an active volunteer in the community and her church. Her family will best remember her love of books, craftsmanship, artistry, and competitiveness in family games: Uno, Hand and Foot, Michigan Rummy and Scrabble. Deep in faith, love, and laughter she will be forever in the hearts of her extended family, friends and immediate family including her children: Linda Andries of Palatine, IL, Traci (Brett) Stecher of Stewartville, MN, and Darin (Laurie) Andries of Rogers, MN. Holly also leaves a legacy of nine grandchildren, whom she adored: Samantha and Max Hogan; Chye, Ayla, Jolie, and Raina Stecher; and Alexa, Kyleigh and Joseph Andries. A celebration of life will be held at 11:00am Saturday, February 17th at Calvary Evangelical Free Church, 5500 25th Ave NW, Rochester, MN. A luncheon will follow immediately.
