Swanson, Gene Age 68, of Minneapolis passed peacefully at home on January 18, 2018. Preceded in death by parents, Frank, Irma, and Donna; sister, Joan. Survived by spouse, Christine Painter; siblings, Karen, Jane (Harlan), Delwin (Deb), Cindy, Kevin (Luanne), John (Jeanine), Kristine (Jim), Mary (Aaron) and loving extended family and friends. Born and raised in Minneapolis and graduated from South High. He proudly served in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War.
