Ingrid Ruth Nobbe Ingrid Ruth Nobbe

Nobbe, Ingrid Ruth Age 89, of Brooklyn Park. The only child of struggling immigrants from Kolberg, Germany, Ingrid Meinhardt was born in Minneapolis. She excelled in school and grew to be a tall, willowy young woman with kind brown eyes. One day at the Prom Ballroom in St. Paul, she met suave Norman Nobbe, the oldest son of a Brooklyn Park farmer. She married him not long after. Eighteen years later, they moved their 4-children family to Minnetonka, where all learned to delight in the allure of the famed lake. Inga, as Norm called her, was a strong-minded, tireless homemaker and mom. She brooked no slacking on chores and her four homes were spotless. She kept her family close and lived an active life with family events, travel, friends, neighbors, bridge games, avid reading and conversation. Preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Norman; parents Alfred and Hedwig Meinhardt. Survived by her children Karen (Dan Stephens), Kathryn (Fritz Bergmann), Dave (June), and Bob Nobbe; grandchildren Kaleigh, Nick; Hardt, Colin (Bergmann); and Abby (Stephens).
