Leitschuh, Louis J. Age 95, of NE Mpls., passed away peacefully at home on January 12, 2018. Preceded in death by his wife Marilyn, the love of his life for 70 years, and son Mark. Lou's life revolved around family, they appreciated his good nature and graciousness. He is survived by children: Gregory (Joanne), Joan (Paul) Gaumnitz, Patricia (James) Wiersgalla, Don, John, Mary Lou (Matthew Knopp), Robert and Therese (Mark) Schommer. Also, 13 grandchildren, 12 great-grand children, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews. Devout Catholic and proud WWII veteran, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family. After returning from the war, he established his painting business. At day's end, Lou liked to relax with a glass of merlot and listen to Sinatra. Our family extends a special thanks to the deacon at St. Charles for his many visits with Dad at home. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 2739 Stinson Pkwy. NE, on January 23 at 11:00 AM, with visitation at 9:30 AM in the atrium. Private burial.
