Lee, The Rev. Harris W. Born December 28, 1929, died peacefully on December 27, 2017. He is much loved by survivors including his wife of 57 years, Maryon, son Steve (Mindy), daughter Patty (Lori Fewer), and grandchildren Rebecca, Andrew, Caroline and Maria. He is also survived by sisters Carol Wold and Ilane Rue, brother Russell Lee, stepbrothers Howard Johnson and Willard Johnson, and many nieces and nephews and their families. He is preceded in death by his parents Elmer and Hilda Lee, stepmother Viola Lee, sister Eunice Peterson, brothers Ernest, Lester and Dennis Lee, and infant son Duane Lee. Harris served in the Army in the Korean War. He graduated from Augsburg College and Luther Seminary. He was ordained as a pastor in the ELCA in 1961, and served three churches in Duluth, Maplewood, and Minneapolis (Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd). After 27 years in parish ministry, he spent over 20 years working with congregations around the country on stewardship and leadership, as well as serving several times as interim pastor and interim assistant to synod bishops. Memorial service Friday, January 19, 11 a.m., Central Lutheran Church, 333 S. 12th St., Minneapolis. Visitation one hour prior to the service. Memorials preferred to Augsburg University, Luther Seminary, or Central Lutheran Foundation.
