JULY 23

Theft. A 2013 Ford F-150 was stolen from a driveway in the 13600 block of Orchid Street NW. The keys had been left inside the vehicle.

JULY 27

Burglary. Appliances were stolen from a vacant home in the 2700 block of 225th Lane NW.

BLAINE

JULY 10

Theft. A rose bush was stolen from the 9100 block of Central Avenue NE.

FALCON HEIGHTS

JULY 17

Traffic stop. An officer observed two vehicles racing at high speeds in the area of Larpenteur Avenue and Fry Street. Both vehicles were stopped and the 16-year-old drivers were issued citations for reckless driving and released. Their parents were contacted and told of the violation.

FRIDLEY

JULY 21

Welfare check. Officers responded to a report of a man passed out in a vehicle in the 5400 block of Main Street. They determined that the man owned the vehicle and that he was installing a security system.

JULY 24

Assist public. A woman from the 7300 block of West Circle NE. reported that her boyfriend had taken her keys. Officers arrived and determined that she was intoxicated and had likely misplaced the keys herself.

HUGO

JULY 16

Suspicious activity. A strong odor was reported coming from a garage with its door slightly raised in the 13000 block of Europa Trail Way. Deputies responding to the call smelled what they thought might be marijuana coming from the garage. The homeowner denied possessing or smoking marijuana, refused to allow a search and denied her son was smoking marijuana. She swore at the deputies and told them to leave.

JULY 20

Animal complaint. Authorities received a call that someone was training horses for harness racing on Henna Avenue near 170th Street. The activity had ceased by the time the area was searched.

MAPLEWOOD

JULY 16

Traffic stop. Police pulled over a vehicle in the area of McKnight Road and Interstate 94 after observing a driver make a U-turn at a red light in an intersection where U-turns are prohibited. The driver was cited for driving without insurance and after cancellation.

JULY 21

Assault. A 46-year-old woman was cited for assault after slapping another woman in the face in the 2400 block of Maplewood Drive.

JULY 23

Theft. A 2011 Toyota RAV4 was stolen from the 7900 block of Greenfield Avenue.

NEW BRIGHTON

JULY 22

Drugs. Police arrested a 50-year-old man for possession of methamphetamine after responding to a report of a driver slumped over the wheel in the area of 25th Street and 14h Avenue.

RAMSEY

JULY 10

Suspicious activity. Officers responded to a report of a suspicious letter at a home in the 6800 block of 170th Avenue NW. The resident said she didn't know who had sent the letter, which was filled with confetti.

Civil dispute. A woman from the 9400 block of 164th Lane NW. reported that her daughter had stolen her vehicle. She was advised that it was a civil matter.
