SEPT. 15

Assist family. An officer responded to a home on the 500 block of Fairmont Street NE. on a report of a family argument over a disorganized home. The officer mediated the dispute and offered solutions.

Assist public. A resident on the 1300 block of 66th Avenue NE. reported he was upset that a gay pride flag was being displayed in a neighboring yard. He was advised that his neighbors had the civil right to fly any flag they desired.

HAM LAKE

SEPT. 18

Theft. A catalytic converter was stolen off a vehicle on the 1500 block of Constance Boulevard NE.

SEPT. 19

Burglary. Tools and electronics were stolen from a home on the 2100 block of 169th Avenue NE.

Theft. A 2003 Chevrolet Silverado was stolen from the 15800 block of Lincoln Street NE. The keys had been left in the vehicle.

SEPT. 14

Animal concern. A deputy tried unsuccessfully to corral a loose pig in the area of 137th Street and Goodview Avenue. He gave up when the pig ran into some nearby woods as its owners arrived on the scene.

SEPT. 13

Theft. Vegetables were reported stolen from a garden in the 1900 block of Rice Street.

Hit and run. A witness saw a driver back into a vehicle in a parking lot in the 100 block of West County Road B, get out and check the other vehicle and then drive away. When an officer contacted the driver he said he was sorry and knew he should've taken further action but didn't believe there was damage to the other vehicle. The officer advised there was obvious damage to its bumper and he was cited for hit and run.

SEPT. 12

Burglary. Jewelry and a gun were stolen from a home on the 2800 block of Ardan Avenue.

NEW BRIGHTON

SEPT. 15

DWI. A 31-year-old man was arrested for third-degree DWI after officers responded to a report of a driver asleep at the wheel of a running vehicle in the 2600 block of Rice Creek Road.

OAKDALE

SEPT. 10

Suspicious activity. A dead chipmunk was found in a box with a note at the end of a driveway in the 7100 block of Upper 17th Street. The note, from an unknown person, said they loved "Chippy" and wanted to give him a ceremony.

SEPT. 11

Found property. A machete was found near the drive-thru window of a business in the 7100 block of 10th Street.

RAMSEY

SEPT. 1

Animal complaint. A dog owner was verbally warned after his dog was loose and defecating in a neighbor's yard on the 7700 block of 164th Avenue NW.

SEPT. 5

Animal complaint. Officers responded to the 5300 block of 180th Avenue NW. on a report of something yelping behind a home. An officer advised the resident it was likely a coyote.

SEPT. 7

Suspicious activity. Officers responded to the 6800 block of 139th Lane NW. on a report of a man walking around the townhouses in the bushes. Officers make contact with the man who was doing lawn care for the homeowners association.

SEPT. 15

Neighbor complaint. A resident in the 21000 block of Meadowbrook Avenue complained to authorities that his neighbor doesn't treat his field for weeds and they wash onto his property. He wanted the field burned. He was advised it wasn't a police issue.
