Theft. A dog was stolen from a vehicle in the 1000 block of University Avenue NE.

Lockout. A 2-year-old accidentally locked a resident out of a home on Eldorado Drive. By the time authorities arrived, a locksmith had been called.

FALCON HEIGHTS

OCT. 2

Theft. A clerk at a gas station in the 1600 block of Snelling Avenue recognized a woman from a previous gas theft and shut off the pump she was using. The suspect, who had pumped $3.73 worth of gas, fled.

FRIDLEY

OCT. 6

Family dispute. Officers responded to a report that a woman's daughter was trying to get her car keys and chasing her around a house in the 6100 block of Starlite Boulevard NE. When the officers arrived, the woman said her daughter had left, assured them she was fine and asked them to leave.

Theft. A trailer was stolen from the 900 block of West Moore Lake Drive NE.

OCT. 11

Check welfare. Officers responded to a report of a man on the sidewalk in the 7400 block of Central Avenue NE. They found that the 55-year-old man was intoxicated and took him to the hospital.

HAM LAKE

OCT. 12

Theft. Tires and rims were stolen off a vehicle in the 15300 block of Central Avenue NE.

LAKE ELMO

OCT. 4

Road rage. A driver in the area of Lake Elmo Avenue and Stillwater Boulevard reported being aggressively tailgated by a vehicle and then having a drink thrown at him by someone in the vehicle.

LAKE ST. CROIX BEACH

OCT. 4

Noise complaint. Authorities received a report of someone regularly running their semitrailer truck in the 2000 block of Quarry Avenue. A deputy found the truck running with its owner inside and informed him of the complaint. He agreed to turn it off.

MAPLEWOOD

OCT. 3

Shoplifting. A man was reported stuffing air fresheners into his pocket at a store in the 200 block of McKnight Road. The complainant, a store employee, told police he confronted the man but that he continued to steal items and left the premises.

OCT. 4

Assist citizen. Police received a complaint that vehicles were not stopping at a crosswalk for children and driving through school patrol flags at Upper Afton Road and Sterling Street, near Carver Elementary School. They spoke with school officials and stationed police in the area to watch for violations during morning and afternoon crossing times.

Theft. Police received a report of a garage door opener stolen from an unsecured vehicle.
