Suspicious activity. A resident in the 2000 block of Neal Avenue reported that a man in a white van had come to her door and said he was there to do repairs for Comcast. She said she doesn't get service from Comcast.

Burglary. Appliances were stolen from a home under construction in the 3600 block of 112th Circle NE.

JAN. 22

Theft. An all-terrain vehicle and trailer were stolen from a driveway in the 2900 block of 93rd Avenue NE.

FRIDLEY

JAN. 15

Suspicious vehicle. An officer spotted a suspicious vehicle parked at a closed business in the 6300 block of Central Avenue NE. An 18-year-old man was found sleeping in his car because, he said, his parents wouldn't let him in the house.

JAN. 19

Vandalism. A woman reported that someone had spit on her vehicle while it was parked at Rice Creek Road NE. and Central Avenue NE.

Suspicious activity. An unknown person was reported trying to open the front door of a home in the 13000 block of Europa Trail Way. Authorities found fresh bike tracks in the driveway, footprints leading to the house and the screen door ajar. The complainant, a juvenile, had not been expecting anyone at the house and was hiding upstairs.

JAN. 13

Traffic. A 23-year-old man was arrested and cited for driving without a valid driver's license in the area of Hwy. 280 and Como Avenue.

MAPLEWOOD

JAN. 8

Theft. A juvenile had her cellphone snatched from her hands by another juvenile while waiting for a bus in the 2100 block of Van Dyke Street.

JAN. 12

Protection order violation. A 55-year-old man was charged with violating a no-contact order after visiting the protected party's place of work and calling her.

NEW BRIGHTON

JAN. 7

Theft. A vehicle was stolen in the 1100 block of Silver Lake Road after the vehicle's keys were taken from a secured storage unit.

NEWPORT

JAN. 9

Neighbor complaint. A resident in the 600 block of 7th Avenue reported smelling marijuana. Authorities were unable to locate the source of the smell.

OAK GROVE

JAN. 15

Theft. A chainsaw was stolen from an unsecured garage in the 20000 block of Lake George Boulevard NW.

RAMSEY

JAN. 11

Animal complaint. A caller reported concerns about the welfare of ducks "living without electricity" in the 17400 block of St. Francis Boulevard NW. Officers found the ducks had appropriate food, water and shelter and could find no problems.

ST. ANTHONY

JAN. 14

Drugs. A 26-year-old woman was arrested for possession of a controlled substance at an apartment building in the 2800 block of Silver Lane.

JAN. 17

Public intoxication. Officers responded to a report of a drunk person in the lobby at Chandler Place, 3701 Chandler Dr. They gave a breath test to a 48-year-old man, who registered an alcohol concentration of .481. He was taken to a detox facility.
