Even now that Target Center's $140 million remodel is done, it looks as if Xcel Energy Center will still be hosting most of the arena concerts in 2018. The St. Paul hockey hub announced two more big shows on Monday morning following a steady string of other announcements in recent weeks, including Bon Jovi, Rod Stewart/Cyndi Lauper, Steely Dan/Doobie Brothers and James Taylor/Bonnie Raitt.

FOO FIGHTERS (OCT. 18): Dave Grohl and his band of merry ragers are playing mostly stadiums and amphitheaters this summer, including Fenway and Wrigley ballparks; but they're apparently too modern for our bookers at Target Field. So the Twin Cities won't get them until they move indoors in the fall.

Tickets go on sale Friday at 9 a.m. for the still-almost-punk prices of $49-$99 via Ticketmaster and the arena box office. Pre-sale options start Tuesday. Grohl's crew returned from a year-long hiatus in September with the so-so album "Concrete and Gold." The last time the Foo rocked the X in 2015, Grohl performed seated with a broken leg, but his band still offered the usual marathon set, nearly three hours' worth.

HALL & OATES WITH TRAIN (MAY 16): A decade into their successful reunion/revival, "Private Eyes" and "Maneater" soul-pop hitmakers Daryl Hall and John Oates might need a little help to fill rooms as big as the X. So they're enlisting "Meet Virginia"/"Drops of Jupiter" singer Pat Monahan and his band Train for a summer tour that kicks off the week before their St. Paul date. Monahan and Hall apparently became buds when the former appeared on the latter's hit cable show "Live from Daryl's House." Tickets go on sale next Monday, Jan. 29, at 10 a.m. via Ticketmaster and the arena box office for $53-$130.
