Country star Miranda Lambert is harmonizing her music and passion for animal welfare in her newly announced concert tour, which includes a stop in the Twin Cities.
The two-time Grammy winner has booked the Xcel Energy Center for Oct. 19.
The local beneficiary connected to the St. Paul show is Animal Ark, a no-kill animal rescue organization founded in 1977 and based in Hastings.
As Lambert has done previously, each venue on this tour will have a place at the entrance where dog food, treats, supplies and cash donations will be collected before the show for local shelters in a campaign dubbed "Fill the Little Red Wagon." Lambert owns several rescue dogs.
Tickets for the show at the X go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. at ticketmaster.com., and there is also a presale opportunity. Details can be found at mirandalambert.com.
Lambert, honored the past nine times as female vocalist of the year by the Academy of Country Music, last played the Twin Cities on St. Patrick's Day 2017, also at the X, and gave her stage outfit a decidedly green tinge in a city that is proud of its Irish influence.
