Key players could miss opener

Preview: United opens Allianz Field 3-2 after starting with five road games. Star Darwin Quintero trained this week after he missed Saturday's victory at Red Bulls because of a groin injury suffered in his first practice at Allianz. Coach Adrian Heath hinted he might keep his same winning 11 from last week, which would mean sitting his best player. "He has looked a lot better," Heath said. "Obviously, it gives us a decision to make whether we change a winning team or go back to what we have doing. … We have to weigh is he's 100 percent fit."… Midfielder Miguel Ibarra first played with MNUFC in 2012. He'll miss Saturday's game at Allianz because of a hamstring injury suffered two weeks ago at New England. "It's a big moment for Minnesota," Ibarra said. "But we're being smart about it. … I'd rather miss one, two games than miss four or six weeks."… New York City FC (0-1-4) is 0-1-1 on the road.

Injuries: Ibarra and D Chase Gasper (hamstring) are out for United. MF Kevin Molina is questionable; United targeted the home opener for his return from knee surgery. NYCFC M Max Moralez (calf) and D Alexander Callens (hamstring) are out.
