The University of Minnesota men's basketball team will play Florida State in the ACC / Big Ten Challenge this winter for the third time in five seasons.

Minnesota will travel to Tallahassee to play the Seminoles on Monday, Nov. 28 on the first day of head-to-head matchups between the two conferences, which will face off for the 18th consecutive year.

Florida State, in coach Leonard Hamilton's 14th season, finished with a 20-14 with wins over VCU, Florida, Virginia and eventual Final Four participant Syracuse. The Seminoles lost in the second round of the NIT to end their season.

Minnesota played Florida State in back-to-back ACC/ Big Ten matchups in 2013 and 2014. The Gophers, who hosted the latter of the two, won both games by a combined 19 points.

The time and broadcast information for the 2016 meeting is not yet available, but ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPNU will televise all 14 events, which include each Big Ten school and all but one ACC member.
