Gophers senior Sydney Baldwin was chosen the WCHA defensive player of the month for November, the league announced. She also won the award for October.

Baldwin, of Minnetonka, led WCHA defensemen with three goals, including one power-play goal, and a plus-121 rating during the month. She was second among WCHA blue liners with seven total points during the month. Baldwin was tied for third among WCHA defenders with 16 blocked shots.

Baldwin had at least one point in six of Minnesota's eight games during November, helping Minnesota to a perfect 8-0-0 record that included six road victories and four conference wins.

Baldwin helped the Gophers hold opponents to 1.62 goals per game during November as the Gophers outscored opponents 19-13 during the month.

• The Gophers men's hockey team (10-7-1) remained No. 7 in the United States College Hockey Online poll after their weekend home split with Wisconsin. The top four spots remained unchanged, with Denver (9-3-2) No. 1 and St. Cloud State (11-2) No. 2.
