Two pickup trucks collided head-on on a Crow Wing County road Thursday afternoon, killing one of the drivers and injuring the other, authorities said.
Daniel R. Rehberger, 61, of Merrifield, Minn., died at the scene of the crash, which occurred about 4:23 p.m. on Wise Road near Sugarberry Creek Road in Brainerd, said Crow Wing County Sheriff Todd Dahl.
Kevin Dumpprope, 48, of Motley, Minn., was taken by ambulance to Essentia Health-St. Joseph's Medical Center in Brainerd, the sheriff said.
Rehberger was driving a 2003 Chevrolet Avalanche east on Wise Road when he rounded a curve, drifted over the centerline into the westbound lane and collided head-on with an eastbound 2015 Chevrolet pickup driven by Dumpprope.
