The victim of a fatal pickup truck crash in southwestern South Dakota has been identified as a motorist from east-central Minnesota.
Merlyn Haug, 73, of Harris, died in the crash Tuesday morning on Hwy. 71, roughly 10 miles south of Hot Springs, the South Dakota Highway Patrol said Saturday.
Haug's pickup left the road late that morning, rolled over and crashed, the patrol said.
Haug was declared dead at the scene. He was not wearing a seat belt, according to the patrol.
