A resident of a Minneapolis nursing home was taking an afternoon nap recently when she awoke to find an unexpected visitor in her quarters, Minneapolis police said.

The intruder told her that he was a maintenance worker and left in a hurry, the woman later recounted to police.

This week, authorities arrested Samuel Coleman, 31, and charged him with a string of burglaries at the facility in the 1400 block of 10th Avenue S. dating to early February.

Coleman is charged with two counts of first-degree burglary, according to a criminal complaint filed this week. He is in the Hennepin County jail in lieu of $100,000 bail.

Police said the incident that led to his arrest began after they were summoned to the care center in Elliot Park, a neighborhood southeast of downtown, on a burglary call. Officers eventually found him in the center after reviewing surveillance video.
