When the Lynx get back together for training camp next spring — and yet another attempt at back-to-back titles — most of their most important players should be rested.

Starters Lindsay Whalen, Seimone Augustus, Maya Moore and Rebekkah Brunson have again opted to not play basketball overseas this fall and winter.

Center Sylvia Fowles, the WNBA MVP both in the regular season and in the Finals, will return to China but plans on playing only the final portion of her team's schedule.

That means the Lynx — the league's oldest team last season — will be as ready as possible to pursue a fifth title in eight years.

They've won WNBA championships in 2011, '13, '15 and '17. The last repeat champion was the Los Angeles Sparks in 2001 and 2002.
