7 p.m. vs. San Antonio • Target Center • NO TV, 106.1-FM

Lynx update: After losing back-to-back games for the first time this season, the Lynx defeated Los Angeles 72-64 on Sunday at Target Center to improve to 9-2 at home. The Sparks shot 38.7 percent from the floor as the Lynx moved to 11-0 in games in which they hold an opponent under 40 percent. In addition to the improved defense, the Lynx also regained their inside game; they outscored L.A. 46-24 in the paint and are 4-0 when scoring 40 or more points in the paint. This season the Lynx are 2-0 against San Antonio, with an average margin of victory of 16 points. G Lindsay Whalen is eight assists away from reaching 2,000 for her WNBA career. G Seimone Augustus (knee) could rejoin the lineup after a nine-game absence, but it is more likely she will return Friday at Atlanta.

Stars update: You have to go all the way back to Aug. 17, 2014, to find the last time the Stars won a road game. They are 0-11 away from home this season and 7-16 overall after ending a four-game losing streak with an 88-81 victory over Seattle last Saturday. In their two losses to the Lynx this season, the Stars have shot only 32 percent (42-for-131) and averaged 54 points; they have lost eight of their past nine against the Lynx over the past two seasons. G Jia Perkins has averaged 23.5 points in her past four games and scored a season-high 32 in Saturday's victory over Seattle. Coach Dan Hughes, who injured his back on Aug. 5 when Stars guard Danielle Robinson collided with him during a game, returned to the sideline Saturday. G Alex Montgomery (knee) is out.
