The annual survey of WNBA general managers has been released by the league. And, to nobody's surprise, the Lynx fared very well.
Here, in a nutshell, is how the Lynx did on the survey:
--Ten of 12 GMs picked the Lynx to win the Western Conference.
--Eight of 12 GMs picked the Lynx to win the WNBA title.
--Eight of 12 picked Maya Moore to repeat as the league MVP.
--Lindsay Whalen finished first and Seimone Augustus in a tie for second in the voting for league's best guard.
--Moore got seven of 12 votes for league's best forward.
--Cheryl Reeve got seven of 12 votes for league's best coach, and finished in a tie for first with Phoenix coach Sandy Brondello in the category of best manager/motivator of people.
--Moore and Chicago's Elena Delle Donne finished in a tie for first on best pure shooter.
--Augustus finished second to Atlanta's Angel McCoughtry in the category of player best at getting her own shot and Moore finished second to McCoughtry in most dangerous player in the open floor.
--Moore was voted league's best finisher.
--Augustus' cross-over move was voted the best individual offensive move in the league, and:
--The Lynx were voted as having the best home-court advantage.

Meanwhile, Reeve said that, after a lackluster practice Wednesday, the Lynx responed with a very good workout on Thursday. In particular, she said, the team's defense was much improved, and she pronounced her team ready for the opener.
But the team will be without a couple players. Asjha Jones is still recovering from a blood level deficiency and should miss the first two weeks of the season. That said, Jones did participate in some early drills in practice Thursday.
Also, Monica Wright missed practice with a calf injury and is listed as questionable for Friday's game.
