Noon vs. Connecticut • Target Center

No TV • 106.1-FM

Lynx update: Dealing with an avalanche of injuries, the Lynx will try to extend its winning streak to five games before taking a much-needed break. The Lynx will be without G Seimone Augustus (knee surgery) and G Lindsay Whalen (eye). Wednesday will mark the first time G Renee Montgomery — acquired from Seattle along with a draft pick in exchange for Monica Wright — has donned a Lynx uniform since her rookie year in 2009. Either Montgomery or Tricia Liston will start alongside Anna Cruz in the Lynx backcourt. F Maya Moore's output has gone up as the team's injury situation has grown worse. In her past five games, Moore is shooting 51.5 percent and averaging 27.2 points per game. C Asjha Jones has scored in double figures in consecutive games. F Rebekkah Brunson has 25 rebounds in her past two games.

Sun update: After a 7-1 start the Sun has lost six consecutive games, falling to .500 and tumbling from first to fifth in the Eastern Conference. Playing without F Chiney Ogwumike for the season after microfracture surgery in January, the Sun initially overachieved. Now the team has to find a way to end the losing streak. It won't be easy. The Sun has the league's youngest roster (24.8 average age). But, with one exception, the Sun has been in every game during the losing streak. G Alex Bentley leads the Sun in scoring (17.1). She had 22 points and four steals in Connecticut's loss to the Lynx a week ago. C Kelsey Bone (15.4 ppg) is the only other Connecticut player to average in double figures.
