Nearly 1,900 customers were unexpectedly without electricity in the west metro for nearly an hour Monday morning, according to a utility spokeswoman.
The outage in the St. Louis Park area was "the result of a cut cable" at W. 36th Street and Wooddale Avenue, said Xcel Energy spokeswoman Patti Nystuen.
The failure began at 7:53 a.m., and the utility had everyone back in service by 8:49 a.m., Nystuen said.
