I wish I could write an individual letter of thanks to all the volunteers who, over the past five years, have traveled to Louisiana to help us after Hurricane Katrina. Since I can't, I'm writing to Minnesotans as representatives of all the wonderful Midwesterners who did so much for us. The fifth anniversary of Hurricane Katrina is an emotional time for us as we remember what it was like and what we have endured over the past few years. You are all in our thoughts during this time, because without you it would have been so much worse. Since all of our friends, family and neighbors were experiencing the same devastation, our first question was how we were ever going to get the help we needed to rebuild. Our answer: through the kindness of strangers like you. Thank you. SUSAN KLEES, MERAUX, LA.
