It made me sick to read about the abysmally low voter-turnout rate for young voters this election cycle. My message for America's 18- to 30-year-olds is this: Whether you lean left or right, you must vote if you want a say in your future. Young people seem to have forgotten -- assuming they were ever taught in school -- that the nation passed a constitutional amendment lowering the voting age to 18 because draftees fresh out of high school were being butchered in Vietnam.
