There are back-to-backs in the NBA and then there are...back-to-backs.
Such is this one the Wolves currently end tonight: Just 26 hours after they played (and beat) Portland at home, the Wolves play at Golden State tonight.
Of course, that's nearly 2,000 miles and almost a four-hour flight.
And of course, it happened because Monday's game had been postponed from March 6 because of condesnation on the Target Center court.
"I feel for them," Warriors coach Steve Kerr said sincerely before tonight's ESPN game.
The Wolves flew West immediately after beating the Blazers 110-109 Monday and arrived at their San Francisco hotel about 12:20 a.m. Pacific time.
Kerr's team went through it owns travel tribulations nearly a month ago, when it flew back and forth across the country a couple times. He rested his four biggest stars -- Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green and Andre Iguodala -- for a March 11 prime-time televised game at San Antonio.
The Warriors lost the night before at Target Center, then lost in San Antonio.
They haven't lost since then: They take an 11-game winning streak into tonight's game.
"You can't characterize it as a run because this is what they've been doing for years," Wolves coach Tom Thibdoeau said.
It won't help the Wolves any, but Kerr said before tonight's name that Green and Iguodala will be rested for tomorrow's game at Phoenix.
Warriors superstar Kevin Durant is aimed for a return on Saturday against New Orleans. He hasn't played since a Feb. 28 game at Washington because of a sprained knee ligament and bone bruise.
