The Wild schedule is out ... plan your winter accordingly.

The Wild will begin the regular season at Detroit on Thursday, Oct. 5, with the first game in the Red Wings' new arena. The season ends Saturday, April 7, in San Jose.

The home opener, previously announced, is Oct. 14 against Columbus.

The Wild will not play on Feb. 4, when the Super Bowl is at U.S. Bank Stadium.

The team will have a five-day bye week from Jan. 15-19.

There's a six-game homestand from Oct. 24-Nov. 4, and a five-game homestand Feb. 8-17. There are two four-game road trips.

The Wild plays each team in the Central Division at least four times, but will play Chicago and Nashville each five times. It faces each team in the Pacific Division three times and each Eastern Conference team twice.

According to a team release, the Wild will travel an estimated 44,783 air miles (compared to 41,441 last season). The season lasts 185 days (Oct. 5-April 7), compared to 178 last season.

Here now is the schedule, with times subject to change. TV information will be announced at a later date.
