Yeah, you can trust Twitter
Talk about a social media juggernaut. This past week, the Republican National Convention made for excellent TV, and equally excellent live tweeting. Above all else, the Speechgate that followed Melania Trump's cribbing of Michelle Obama dominated the social sphere. And whether you are a Democrat or Republican, it was hard not to chuckle at the week's most popular hashtag:

Obviously, these were not famous Melania Trump quotes. But that's the point. Many a celeb got in on the action. Here are three favorites:

OK, maybe the best for Prince fans was a meme shared by Chris Rock on his account (@chrisrock), showing Trump's "apology." It read: "I never meant to cause you any sorrow. I never meant to cause you any pain. I only wanted one time to see you laughing. I only want to see you laughing in the purple rain."
