After a couple low-key years, Mystic Lake Amphitheater is returning this summer with an ambitious agenda, starting with Santana on July 13. Mystic Lake Casino hopes to stage six concerts during this, its 25th anniversary year.

In previous years, Kid Rock, Carrie Underwood, Stevie Nicks and others performed outdoors at Mystic's ad hoc amphitheater with plastic chairs. Last year, Hank Williams Jr. and the Goo Goo Dolls played to fans sitting on fold-up camping chairs.

The setup this summer will be about 1,600 reserved seats, with room for 7,100 additional people on the lawn behind them.

Santana, the Rock Hall of Fame band, will command the highest price for a Mystic concert — $300. Other tickets range from $39 to $125. They go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday at Ticketmaster outlets.

In other concert news, the Goo Goo Dolls will rock the Hilde Amphitheater in Plymouth on July 29. Tickets, priced from $35 to $150, will go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday at etix.com.

Bryan Ferry is set for the new Palace Theatre in St. Paul on Aug. 5. Tickets, priced at $67 and $57, will go on sale at 10 a.m. March 10 at etix.com.

Olivia Newton-John will land at Treasure Island Casino on May 12. Tickets, priced from $35 to $55, will go on sale at 10 a.m. at Ticketmaster outlets.
