Hot Boilermakers tough on D

Preview: Playing their third consecutive road game, the Gophers (17-6, 6-4 Big Ten) are looking for their first victory over Purdue in nearly three years. The Gophers, coming off a 92-84 loss at Iowa on Sunday, have lost to the Boilermakers twice since defeating them in the 2015 Big Ten tournament. Purdue (16-8, 7-3) beat host Illinois 73-54 on Sunday for their its consecutive victory.

Players to watch: Junior Kenisha Bell scored a career-high 35 points to lead the Gophers on Sunday. Bell is the only player to rank in the top five in the Big Ten in scoring (20.0), assists (6.3) and steals (2.6). Senior Carlie Wagner is averaging 18 points per game and shooting 42 percent from three-point range. Senior guard Andreona Keys leads the balanced Purdue offense with 13.6 points per game.

Numbers: Purdue has the second-best scoring defense (60.9 points per game) in conference games while the Gophers lead in scoring (80.5).
