The awards keep coming for Gophers junior Nate Mason, who was named Tuesday to the U.S. Basketball Writers Association All-District V team.

Mason, a 6-foot-2 guard, averaged a team-high 15.5 points and 5.1 assists to earn All-Big Ten first team honors Monday. He was the first all-conference first team selection since Vincent Grier in 2005.

Mason's 17.2 points per game in the Big Ten was the program's highest scoring average in league play since Grier's 18.0 points in 2004-05.

The Georgia native also averaged 4.8 assists, 1.4 steals, ranked third in assist-to-turnover ratio (plus-2.7) and fourth in free throw shooting percentage (83.5) in Big Ten play.

Purdue's Caleb Swanigan was the District V player of the year, while his coach Matt Painter was Coach of the Year. Joining Swanigan and Mason on the All-District V team are the players below:
