The nominees for the 38th annual Gold Raspberry Awards — better known as the Razzies — highlight the worst Tinsel Town had to offer in 2017.

Michael Bay's "Transformers: The Last Knight" earned the distinction of scoring the most nominations with nine. "Fifty Shades Darker" (opening in the Twin Cities area Feb. 9) scored eight.

Showing the Razzies are open to gender diversity, Tyler Perry picked up a worst actress nomination for his "Boo 2! A Madea Halloween."

The winners (?) will be announced March 3, the day before the Oscars. Here are the contenders:

Worst picture: "Baywatch," "The Emoji Movie," "Fifty Shades Darker," "The Mummy" and "Transformers: The Last Knight."

Worst remake, rip-off or sequel: "Baywatch," "Boo 2! A Madea Halloween," "Fifty Shades Darker," "The Mummy" and "Transformers."

Worst actress: Katherine Heigl ("Unforgettable"), Dakota Johnson ("Fifty Shades Darker"), Jennifer Lawrence ("Mother!"), Tyler Perry ("Boo 2!") and Emma Watson ("The Circle").

Worst actor: Tom Cruise ("The Mummy"), Johnny Depp ("Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales"), Jamie Dornan ("Fifty Shades Darker"), Zac Efron ("Baywatch") and Mark Wahlberg ("Daddy's Home 2" and "Transformers").

Worst supporting actor: Javier Bardem ("Mother!" and "Pirates of the Caribbean"), Russell Crowe ("The Mummy"), Josh Duhamel ("Transformers"), Mel Gibson ("Daddy's Home 2") and Anthony Hopkins ("Collide" and "Transformers").

Worst supporting actress: Kim Basinger ("Fifty Shades Darker"), Sofia Boutella ("The Mummy"), Laura Haddock ("Transformers"), Goldie Hawn ("Snatched") and Susan Sarandon ("A Bad Moms Christmas").

Worst director: Darren Aronofsky ("Mother!"), Michael Bay ("Transformers"), James Foley ("Fifty Shades Darker"), Alex Kurtzman ("The Mummy") and Anthony Leonidis ("The Emoji Movie").

Worst screenplay: "Baywatch," "The Emoji Movie," "Fifty Shades Darker," "The Mummy" and "Transformers."
