Preview: The Timberwolves have won four straight overall, seven straight at Target Center and are 11-3 in their past 14, a streak that began with a one-point victory over Portland Dec. 18. The Wolves are looking to complete a 5-0 homestand for just the second time in franchise history (5-0, January 2001). The Blazers enter Sunday five games behind the Wolves in the Northwest Division. The Blazers have lost two straight after going 6-2 in the eight games before that. The two teams have split the past six games, with all three Wolves wins coming by one point.
Players to watch: Wolves C Karl-Anthony Towns came one assist shy of his second career triple-double in Friday's victory over New York, with 23 points, 15 rebounds and nine assists. F Andrew Wiggins has averaged 20.0 points and 5.8 rebounds in his last four; the Wolves are 14-4 when he grabs five or more rebounds. G Jamal Crawford has 15 assists and no turnovers during this homestand. The Blazers are led by the backcourt of Damian Lillard (24.9 points, 6.4 assists) and CJ McCollum (21.6, 3.4).
Numbers: During their 4-0 win streak, all the wins have come by 10 or more points, tied for the second-longest such streak in team history (six in December 2001). The Wolves have sold out six straight games. Their seven straight home wins is the longest since winning 14 straight during the 2003-04 season. Portland has scored 110 or more points in seven straight games.
Injuries: The Wolves report no injuries. Portland G Evan Turner (illness) is questionable.
