Wild, Philly go at it again
Preview: The Wild (7-7-2) faces Philadelphia (8-7-2) once again Tuesday after a 1-0 victory on the road Saturday. The Wild has a few streaks to maintain, as it could establish its longest winning streak of the season at three as well as record a third-consecutive shutout. Winger Jason Zucker also has a chance to equal or break the NHL record for most consecutive goals (seven).
Players to watch: Philadelphia F Jakub Voracek ranks third in the league with 17 assists and is tied for seventh with 21 points. F Claude Giroux is right behind, tied for 10th at 20 points. F Sean Couturier is tied for sixth with 10 goals and tied for second with a plus-14 plus/minus. D Shayne Gostisbehere is sixth among defensemen with 15 points and is tied for first with nine power-play assists, which also ties him for fifth with nine power-play points.
Numbers: Wild G Devan Dubnyk has a shutout streak of 135 minutes, five seconds after tallying two-consecutive shutout victories against Philadelphia and Montreal this past Thursday. He stopped 41 shots in his 25th career NHL shutout at Montreal and 32 at Philadelphia.
Injuries: Wild F Zach Parise (back) and F Charlie Coyle (leg) are out. Philadelphia goaltender Anthony Stolarz (knee), C Nolan Patrick (upper body) and D Andrew MacDonald (lower body) are out.
