Status of 3 Wolves up in the air

Wolves update: The Wolves dropped two straight to the Jazz on Jan. 25 and 27 in a home-and-home set. During that time, the Wolves were without Derrick Rose (elbow) and Jeff Teague (foot), who were injured for both games. Rose and Teague missed Tuesday's loss against Denver, and they are both questionable to play Thursday. Andrew Wiggins (left quad contusion), who has missed the past three games, is also questionable. … Tyus Jones started at point guard Tuesday and had 16 points on seven of 10 shooting against the Nuggets. Karl-Anthony Towns returned from a one-game absence (knee) to score 34 points and grab 10 rebounds. … The Wolves have lost 10 of their past 11 on the road.

Jazz update: The Jazz will be playing its first game at home since banning one of its fans for offensive language directed at Thunder guard Russell Westbrook. … The Jazz was 1-3 in its previous four games entering Wednesday's game at Phoenix. … Center Rudy Gobert ranks second in the NBA in defensive real plus-minus, an advanced stat that attempts to measure a player's defensive contribution regardless of his teammates. Gobert's proficiency on defense has helped the Jazz record the third-best defensive rating in the NBA at 105.7 points allowed per 100 possessions. … Guard Ricky Rubio is shooting 41.2 percent during his two seasons with the Jazz. That's an improvement over his 37.5 percent mark in six seasons with the Wolves.
