Friday's rematch between the Lynx and Los Angeles Sparks has been added to the schedule of NBA TV and will be shown at 7 p.m. Friday.

The network, which is not a part of Twin Cities-area basic cable packages, also showed Tuesday's game at Los Angeles. The Lynx won 72-69 in a game that both teams entered with undefeated records.

Earlier in the week FSN executive Mike Dimond said his network was "not in a position to absorb the additional cost of producing the game."

On Wednesday, Lynx coach Cheryl Reeve responded to a Star Tribune tweet that the game was not being televised locally.

Fourteen of the Lynx 34 regular-season games are scheduled on basic cable this season -- eight on Fox Sports North and six on ESPN or ESPN2.

FSNorth will be showing the Twins-Yankees game on its main channel and drag racing on its "Plus" channel during the Lynx-Sparks game.

The WNBA has a League Pass option that allows games to be watched on Apple TV and mobile devices. In addition to a season package, there is a $1.99 per game option. There are blackout restrictions, but an attempt to purchase the game from a Twin Cities internet account Thursday was successful.

John Focke will call the game on TV, a simulcast with the audio on 106.5 FM, which carries all of the Lynx games on radio.
