Roadguy woke up in the Lake Pepin area this morning (on purpose), so just a quick post for your Monday....

I took the above photo yesterday in Stockholm, Wis. (population 97, according to the signs). The village has a free bike-sharing program like the one that St. Paul tried in the 1990s, except these bikes are blue, not yellow.

One of my traveling companions and I tried out a couple of the bikes, which were in various states of repair. The first one I attempted to ride had no discernible brakes, but the second one was fine, and after I took it from downtown to the riverfront, I swapped it for an even better bike for the uphill ride back to the car.

I'm not sure how many racks there were, but if the goal was to get us to spend more time seeing the town and less time driving, the program was a success.
