If Tyler Duffey wants to make a statement that he's ready for the rotation, today would be a good day to do it.

Duffey, in a battle for the fifth rotation spot, will face a Blue Jays that includes a few of their big shooters. That includes Josh Donaldson, who is making his spring debut after recovering from a calf strain. With Donaldson, Troy Tulowitzki, Kendrys Morales and Russell Martin in the lineup, Duffey will be tested. This would be a good time for him to show off that change up a few times.

Duffey enters the game with a 6.75 ERA over four appearances, not including the minor league game he pitched in last week where he had one rough inning.

The Twins have six potential starters in their lineup today, including Brian Dozier, who has made the long bus trip. Dunedin, by the way, is one of the worst trips of the spring. You have to battle idiot drivers on I-75, I-275, FL686, County Rd. 611 and Drew St. to get here. Grrrr.

Adalberto Mejia has made the trip and will follow Duffey to the mound. The lefthander is coming off of a strong outing against St. Louis and has allowed just one earned run over 10.1 innings this spring.

Max Kepler is back in the lineup, missing little time after having his right pinkie stepped on by Pablo Sandoval on Saturday.
