Two-time defending champion Kenny Perry leads a strong field expected this week at TPC Twin Cities in Blaine for the 24th annual 3M Championship golf tournament.

This year's event, for pro golfers 50 and older, marks the first time since 2009 it has not been played the week immediately following a senior tour major. The official field list reflects a rested bunch; the top 33 golfers on the season-long Charles Schwab Cup money list are all entered into the tournament.

In addition to Perry, PGA Tour Champions golfers such as two-time 3M winner Bernhard Langer, Colin Montgomerie and Minnesotan Tom Lehman will play for the $262,500 winner's check.

Among the golfers scheduled to make their 3M debuts this week are crowd-pleasers John Daly, Jesper Parnevik and Miguel Angel Jimenez.

Admission for practice rounds Monday through Thursday and the weekend 54-hole tournament is free. There also is free parking and shuttle service to the grounds at the Anoka County Airport.
