LONDON — Practicing at the Hazelwood Centre — the training facility for the London Irish rugby football team — on Friday, the Vikings were greeted by a large contingent of British media and opened a larger portion of practice to reporters than they ordinarily would in the U.S.
That glimpse of practice put to rest any question about which quarterback will start against the Browns on Sunday. And coach Mike Zimmer made it official later on Friday morning, telling reporters that Case Keenum will start on Sunday against the Browns. As the Vikings unloaded a set of five buses on Friday morning, with players in cleats and ready to practice, quarterback Sam Bradford walked the other way in street clothes. Bradford, who will miss his sixth game of the season with a knee injury on Sunday, was one of three Vikings players not practicing, joining guard Jeremiah Sirles and defensive end Stephen Weatherly. As Keenum makes his sixth start of the season, the Vikings could have their typical offensive line intact in front of Keenum, as well, with Nick Easton looking set to return at left guard. Stefon Diggs was practicing again on Friday, after missing the Vikings' last two games with a groin injury. Michael Floyd, who missed last Sunday's game against the Ravens with a hamstring injury, was running routes during Friday's practice.
