A caution to those trekking to downtown Minneapolis on Friday night — a block of roadway near the Warehouse District light-rail station will be closed overnight.
One block of 1st Avenue N. between 4th and 5th streets N. will be closed from 7 p.m. Friday to 4 a.m. Saturday so Metro Transit can make repairs near the station.
Traffic on 1st Avenue N. will be rerouted to Hennepin Avenue.
Metro Transit buses replaced Green Line light-rail trains from Target Field to the Warehouse District stations starting from 7:30 p.m. to about 10 p.m. Blue Line trains still aren't serving Target Field station, but Metro Transit officials expect them to resume by 4 a.m. Saturday.
Anyone needing to reach Target Field station should get on a Green Line train by the Warehouse District stop, Metro Transit officials said.
