When: Today through Thursday

Where: Washington, D.C.

What's going on: It's a baseball convention. MLB teams talk trades. The general managers meet. The managers meet. The trainers and doctors meet. The media even meets. Agents will arrive to find homes for their clients.

Who could get moved? The Pirates are shopping Andrew McCutchen. The White Sox have a market for Chris Sale. Ryan Braun could be dealt by the Brewers. Could the Tigers really trade Miguel Cabrera? The free-agent market isn't as sexy as in past years, so the watch is on for blockbuster trades.

What will the Twins do? Unless they move Brian Dozier, their chance of landing an impact player look slim. But new Chief Baseball Officer Derek Falvey is headed to his first winter meetings and, perhaps, he's eager to make some kind of splash. The Potomac, after all, isn't far away.
