Authorities are still seeking help with identifying a man found dead inside a Rosemount railroad shed more than a year ago.
The Hennepin County Medical Examiner released facial reconstruction images of the "John Doe" who was found inside a utility shed near downtown Rosemount in September 2014.
"It's been two years. … Somebody at some point knew his name. Now it's about putting a face out there that somebody may recognize," said Shawn Wilson, operations manager with the the Medical Examiner's office.
The FBI spent four months creating a composite of the man's face, Wilson said.
In September 2014, "partially skeletonized remains" were recovered from a railroad utility shed near the intersection of 146th Street and Burnley Avenue W., according to the medical examiner. He was believed to have been living inside the shed at the time of his death. Papers at the scene indicate he was last known to be alive in October 2013.
The man was white, 30 to 50 years old, 5 feet 3 inches to 5 feet 11 inches tall, with long brown and gray hair. He was wearing a Wilson's motorcycle jacket, Wrangler jeans, a button-down shirt, and a dark leather belt. The knife sheath had the initials DHT carved into it.
