Some of the best teams in women's college golf competed at Olympic Hills in Eden Prairie this week, with perennial top-20 program Arkansas winning the team title in the ANNIKA Intercollegiate. The tournament was partly sponsored by the foundation of Annika Sorenstam, a 10-time major winner on the LPGA Tour.

The Gophers finished last in the 12-team field; freshman Joanne Free was their highest finisher, tying for 41st at 12 over par.

Arkansas won the team title at 16 under par, with the Razorbacks' Maria Fassi taking medalist honors with a 10-under 206, closing with a 66.

UCLA finished second, followed by Stanford.

• Thomas Jenkins and Kevin Krigbaum shot a 7-under 64 to lead U.S. Men's Amateur Four-Ball sectional qualifying at Windsong. Farm GC in Independence. Also advancing to the national tournament May 19-23 in Tequesta, Fla., were Ben Greve and Matthew Gibb, and Michael Martin and Danny Amundson with 65s. … Melena Barrientos and Avery Zweig qualified for the Women's Amateur Four-Ball April 28-May 2 in Tarzana, Calif., with a 3-under 68 at Windsong.

• Brent Snyder and Eric Rolland won the Minnesota PGA Four-Ball Match Play Championship, edging Jeff Running and Brian Seiwert 2-up at Hazeltine National Golf Club in Chaska.
