Class president for four years, football captain, two-time wrestling team captain. Holds the school single-season wrestling win record (49-0) and went to state three years, winning a title as a senior. Earned a 3.985 GPA while taking advanced placement and college-level courses. Provides genuine peer support, leading ‘‘by example with his positivity and unwavering work ethic,’’ his nominator wrote.
What he said: “It’s a super-cool award, kind of thinking about my whole high school career and what it has accumulated to. I really focused on school and in sports. Putting all the time in school and after school working out and getting my homework done. It’s just really cool to be recognized.”
